He told us to tell you, and we’re patriots so we follow orders. Starting today Stephen Colbert will perform his shows in front of the troops for the next week. He has been deployed to Iraq for a USO tour entitled “Operation Iraqi Stephen: Going Commando.”
But it’s not all fun and games in Iraq. President Obama reportedly ordered Colbert to undergo a standard military head-shaving. That’ll teach him to be satirical!
It’s awesome that he’s going over there to entertain the troops but he has big shoes to fill. I would not not want to follow Carrie Underwood singing Sweet Child of Mine under any circumstances.
