Perry’s Cave

It is registered under the Natural Landmark in Ohio, and thus an important place to visit. It lies around 52 feet under the surface of South Bass Island. You can have a beautiful sight of all the stalagmites, stalactites, and pearls on the walls of the cave. One of the rarest appearances about this cave includes the floor and the ceiling, which is made of calcium carbonate because of the water dripping caused by the ceiling. There is also a presence of an underground lake and the temperature there is around 50 degrees Fahrenheit (i.e. 10 degrees Celsius) always throughout the year.

The Butterfly  houses

This is a part of Perry’s cave where there are hundreds of butterflies to view. When you enter you can enjoy a short film which is based on the caterpillar which is hatched from an egg and how it is beautifully changed into a butterfly.
